To support our Refereeing Subdivision, FIFA is looking to recruit a service- and results-oriented person with a can-do mentality as a VAR Implementation Manager.
Your duties
- Ensuring effective administration of Member Association’s (MA’s) VAR implementation progress
- Encouraging Member Association’s to submit data accurately and on time
- Being the first point of contact for questions/requests from MA’s in regard to VAR implementation
- Organizing and leading VAR kick-off workshops
- Appointing VAR Instructors to MA’s during IAAP process
- Reviewing and optimizing implementation processes
- Supporting the FIFA head office and competitions plus refereeing activities worldwide
- Elaborating together with respective technical experts the VAR teaching material
Our requirements
- Former referee or assistant referee with management experience
- Proven experience with the implementation of VAR
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of VAR protocol and procedures
- Experienced in coaching, mentoring and training current and new VAR’s
- Efficient knowledge of office programs with very good administrative, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of English, Spanish or any other FIFA language (German or French) would be an asset
- Initiative attitude and proactive in optimizing standards and procedures, if necessary
